Contour Energy, LLC is a private development company, founded in 2017 and based in Houston, Texas, specializing in the development and acquisition of energy infrastructure projects. Contour leadership has more than 80 years of combined management experience in the development, financing and operations of over $8 billion in projects and assets in the power, upstream, midstream and renewables energy sectors, in 10 different countries.
Contour's present focus is on long duration energy storage to meet the energy transition requirements for power markets, primarily utilizing compressed air energy storage (CAES). CAES is a proven power storage and generation technology with unique capabilities and distinct advantages for evolving and growing power market needs. The benefits of CAES are clear and indisputable when compared to both traditional combustion turbine and battery storage alternatives. Whether high penetration of renewables generation exists on the system, or additional capacity is desired, the time for CAES is now. Contour leverages its broad understanding and deep knowledge and experience in power project development, underground cavern storage, engineering, finance, marketing and operations, to ensure successful results for investors and lenders.
